Our Recruitment Process

Our way of providing the greatest value to our industry clients goes beyond searching through the thousands of CVs we receive!
We do a full 1:1 pre-screen interview to find out who our candidate is, their experience and skills, and what position they want. We delve deep to assess which industry client will benefit from their skills and where they will best excel in a role. 

Would you like to work at Duke?

  • 1. SEND US YOUR CV

    • - Browse our list of open roles under our career portal
    • - Apply for a role through our portal
    • - You may also simply send your CV to careers@dukemarine.ca with the job title in the subject line
  • 2. CANDIDATE PRE-SCREEN CALL

    • - Once your CV has been submitted by email, it will be reviewed by our team of experienced recruiters. You will then be assigned your own Duke recruiter who will be your point of contact going forward. They will reach out to you to schedule your initial pre-screen call. 
  • 3. SUBMITTING YOUR CANDIDACY

    - Once we have all the necessary information and you have signed our consent form, your profile will be submitted to our client.

  • 4. JOB INTERVIEW

    • - If you are selected by the client for an interview, your Duke recruiter will contact you  to arrange it. They will also help you prepare for the interview
    • -Regardless of the feedback from our client, you will hear back from your Duke recruiter!
  • 5. POST-INTERVIEW STAGE

    • - After the job interview, your Duke recruiter will contact you to discuss how your interview went and then coordinate any next steps with the client.
  • 6. JOB OFFER EXTENDED

    • - Once you have been extended an offer of employment, your Duke recruiter will send you a contract that describes all the final details. When that contract is signed and returned, you will then receive all necessary documentation needed to get you installed into the Duke system. 
  • 7. CONTINUOUS CONTACT

    • - Your Duke recruiter will contact you during your first day at work to ensure your safe arrival and to confirm that you are comfortable in your new workplace.
    • -If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email whenever you wish. 
    • -Your Duke recruiter will remain consistent in their follows ups to ensure a good fit for all.
